Counselling & Therapy for Children, Young People & Adults in Manchester & Trafford

Creating a safe space to deliver creative therapy for young people.

Hello! In our busy lives, we might want to confide in someone about what is really

bothering us.

But it can be difficult to find someone who will listen without judgement or telling us what we should be doing.

I am Louisa, a qualified Psychotherapeutic Counsellor. I’m an integrative therapist which means I use a range of counselling and psychotherapeutic approaches which can be tailored to support your needs including arts, play and creative therapy.

I can offer you a safe, comfortable and confidential space to bring whatever issues you are seeking to work with.

I can provide this through in person, online or telephone counselling.

Together we can find a way to make sense of your experiences, for you to feel empowered and be heard.

If you want to find out more please contact me for a free 20 min consultation on 07775612525 or louisahcounselling@gmail.com

My fees are £65 per 50 min session.

How I work....

.....with children

Through the Therapeutic and Creative use of Play, Art and Craft I can help your child to be curious and explorative.

I will support your child in naming and making sense of their feelings and in managing their emotions.

This can help to reduce challenging behaviours, friendship fall outs, anxiety and anger.

I can offer help with recognising the patterns of behaviour that can hinder them in making positive and healthy choices and in developing coping mechanisms.

I will tailor my approach to meet their unique emotional and developmental needs.

Working as a counsellor in primary and secondary educational settings I know all too well how difficult it can be to access mental health services.

.....with teenagers

Adolescence should be a time of growth, self discovery, identity, changes and fostering resilience.

Instead for some people it can be a frightening, isolating place filled with anxiety and doubt.

I can offer a safe, confidential space to navigate through your worries, anxieties, dilemmas and give you the tools to work towards a happy and fulfilled way of being.

I can support you to tell your story and be seen and heard.

I have experience in counselling teenagers with a wide range of issues including, exam stress, anxiety, bereavement, isolation, friendships, identity, Parental separation, homelessness and substance abuse.

I have been working with teenagers for over 15 years in schools, pupil referral units and alongside youth offending teams.

I have a passion for working with children, young people and adults to support them in making informed choices about their lives.

I have over 10 years' experience delivering 1:1 and group therapy sessions for children and young people, as well as designing and delivering bespoke   workshops, including issues such as friendships, bullying, drugs and alcohol awareness, for schools and community groups. I also provide therapeutic

support for families.

I am a qualified counsellor with Diplomas in The Therapeutic and Educational Application of the Arts and Therapeutic Counselling with Adolescents from the Institute for Arts in Therapy and Education. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
